Small French 18th Century coffre de mariage. Made in beech wood and hand painted with flowers. These were made for the bride to keep her valuables in. 21 Long x 10 High x 10 Deep (In Centimeters)

Painted in a water based paint like gouache and then laquered. The lock is made of wrought iron and has its original key. The lid has a small wire handle and wire hinges exactly as it should be.
