French 18th Century coffre de mariage. Made in beech wood and hand painted with flowers and swags. These were made for the bride to keep her valuables in. 65Long x 29High x 33Deep (In Centimeters)

Painted in a water based paint like egg tempera and then laquered. The lock is made of iron. No key. The lid has had its hinges changed a  long time ago, i have decided to leave them as they are. Retains almost all its original paint.
